THE inaugural Vietnamese Fair in Mildura received an “overwhelming” amount of support with thousands of people filling the Langtree Mall on ­Saturday afternoon.

The Bendigo Chinese Association lion team started the celebrations by leading a parade through the mall ­before an official opening ceremony on the mall’s stage while lions roved through the crowds.

Sunraysia residents were desperate to get their hands on some authentic Vietnamese food, with the majority of the vendors sold out before the event ended.
