SWAN Hill Rural City Council (SHRCC) will suggest to the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) that it move from a ward system to an unsubdivided municipality.
At Tuesday’s council meeting, councillors resolved to make a submission to the VEC’s review of the council’s electoral structure, indicating seven councillors were an appropriate number of represenataives for the municipality.
Currently, council is divided into four wards, with seven councillors.
