Six grant winners

SIX Sunraysia sporting clubs and ­associations will get a share in ­VicHealth ­Active Club Grant funding to provide more female teams and programs, as well as social sport ­options for less-active Victorians.

As part of this grants round, VicHealth is funding a wide range of popular sports and activities, from grassroots football and netball to sports like weightlifting, BMX biking and hang gliding.

Sunraysia Hockey Associ­­ation received $10,000 for increasing female participation, Football  Feder­­­­ation 

Sunraysia, Mildura Dragon­boat Club, Werrimull Foot­ball Netball Club and Robin­vale Lawn Tennis Club will receive $3000 and Imperial Football Netball Club received $3000 for increasing social and modified sport.

Victorian Health Minister Jenny Mikakos said the grants are a vital way to support more women and girls to get involved in community sport.
