AN Irymple supporter has copped the most severe penalty in SFNL history after being found guilty of assaulting Imperials' Sam Butterworth after this year's grand final.

SFNL executive officer Peter Walker said he was not prepared name the supporter, but would share his identity with clubs and meet them individually to address how to enforce the ban.
