SAXON Wellard is about to start on the path to achieving his dream of becoming an AFL player.

The 10-year-old Wentworth Public School student will follow in his brother’s footsteps when he represents the Barrier team in Batemans Bay at the AFL NSW Primary Schools Sports Association State Carnival next month.

“When Dylan played last year, it became a dream of mine to play,” Saxon said.
