A COURAGEOUS effort from the Mildura Heat women’s team saw them come away from the weekend with two victories back to back after hours of extended travel.

The side fended off the finals challenging Western Port Steelers 74-59 on Saturday before Sunday’s convincing 78-57 triumph over the Chelsea Gulls.
