MILDURA Heat's women's side split their first Big V Basketball double-header road trip of the season, highlighted by a barnstorming victory over Southern Peninsula Sharks.

Travis Coombes' side piled on 31 points to nine in the final period in Saturday night's stanza in the Shark pool which saw a five-point deficit turn into a 17-point 79-62 victory.
