MILDURA Racing Club's quest to improve sustainability in becoming a first-class race-day venue received a major boost on Thursday, with $300,000 in improvements on the way.

Victorian Minister for Racing Martin Pakula was on course to announce that the government would kick in $154,000 from the Victorian Racing Industry Fund for irrigation and solar-panel upgrades.
