Sunraysia juniors get back into baseball

WHILE senior sport is largely on hold awaiting a decision on whether contact training and competition can resume, at least junior athletes are getting their chance to shine.

Sunraysia Baseball League juniors started at the weekend, including some of Sunraysia's budding sports stars in the under 7 grade.

In that grade, players hit off tees, with a smaller diamond set up to cater for smaller players.

The SBL had eyed off starting senior competition this month with a full season of 12 rounds and three weeks of finals, however that was contingent on government restrictions easing.
