FORMER Sunraysia Table Tennis Association (STTA) players Dillon Chambers and Matt Avers took out the men’s Open doubles at the Victorian Closed Senior and Para Championships in Melbourne last weekend – continuing heir fine form from 2019.

Avers not only took gold in that event, he defeated the No.1 seed to win the under-21 singles, won the Division 2 singles and Division 2 doubles and was runner-up in the mixed Open doubles.

Chambers finished runner-up in the men’s Open singles. He is ranked No.5 in Australia and No.2 in Victoria.

STTA president Mark Dorman said the association was proud of both players, who are being rewarded for the hard work put in to gain these results.
