A total of 29 members of the Royal Household are taking part in the Australian tour but only 10 of these attended the Queen and Duke.

The Queen's Private Secretary (Major Sir Michael Adeane) is the oldest member of the staff.  He is 41 and was Page of Honor to King George V.

The Duke's Private Secretary (Lieutenant Commander Michael Parker, RN) is back on his home soil.

He is an Australian and previously lived in Melbourne.
