MEMBER for Mallee Anne Webster says Timorese workers are being deterred from taking part in seasonal workforce programs due to cost as Sunraysia growers scramble to meet labour demand this harvest.

Dr Webster told Federal Parliament this week that while thousands of Timorese were willing to travel to Australia under the programs, the cost of participating in the programs was proving prohibitive.
