IN a targeted effort to reduce road trauma on regional roads, Dareton police have joined their counterparts across NSW in clamping down on offences that contribute to road fatalities.

Dareton police Sergeant Andy Bond said this weekend's operation would largely target back roads where drivers would typically not expect to see police patrols.
