ONE person was killed in a plane crash south east of Mungo National Park on Wednesday.

Emergency services were called to D-Block Road, about 100km from Mungo, following reports of a light plane crash about 2pm on Wednesday.

Upon arrival, emergency services located a man in a critical condition.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however he could not be revived.
