POLICE investigations are continuing into a two-car collision which forced the closure of the Sturt Highway near the Mildura Airport on Wednesday.

The two vehicles were being driving in opposite directions near the Dow Avenue turnoff about 3.30pm when they collided head-on on a slight bend of a 100km/h section of the highway.
