A MAN who inflicted "immeasurable" trauma on his mother and turned her life into a "nightmare" was an example of how methamphetamine can destroy a person's brain, a court has been told.

The Mildura man this week pleaded guilty to a number of assaults on his former partner alongside breaches of court-imposed orders designed to protect the woman as well as his own mother.
