Man dies in crash north of Wentworth

A MAN was found dead at the scene of a road crash north of Wentworth on Thursday.

Police were yet to formally identify the driver of the ute involved in the single-vehicle crash on Pooncarie Road, but said he was aged in his 30s.

They were alerted to the crash, which happened about 30km north west of Wentworth, about 6.30am.

Barrier Police District officers have commenced an investigation and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
