A MILDURA man has been arrested in outer Melbourne after police discovered a car displaying stolen registration plates.

The man was arrested and charged by Doncaster police in Warrandyte on Monday night.

Police said they were patrolling Alexander Road in Warrandyte when they located the vehicle with stolen registration plates.
