A CAR found crashed on the side of the road near Dareton, with the bodies of two teenagers nearby, has been identified as stolen.

Barrier Police District officers said the Holden, which has been seized and forensically examined, was stolen from Victoria on April 13.

Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into the crash on April 14.
