Victorian couple fined $2000 over Euston border breach

A VICTORIAN couple has shared $2000 in fines after being stopped by New South Wales Police trying to cross the border without a permit at Euston on Monday.

About 12.45pm, Barrier Police District officers stopped a car at the border on the Murray Valley Highway entering Euston.

The driver, a 39-year-old woman, and passenger, a 44-year-old man, did not have permits.

Both were issued $1000 fines and returned to Victoria.
