A MAN alleged to have subjected his ex-partner to months of threats and a slew of abusive messages has been refused bail.

The man was extradited from South Australia this week to face charges before Mildura Magistrates' Court, including making threats to kill in the context of family violence and persistently breaching court-imposed orders.
