A GROUP of children have been charged for a number of serious offences, including the aggravated burglary of a 78-year-old woman's home.

Two of the accused appeared before a children's court after spending a night in custody and made successful applications for bail.

Police opposed both bail applications, telling the court there were no conditions that would reduce the risk of them re-offending.
