A MILDURA man has been sentenced to nine months' jail for sending an "onslaught of abusive and threatening" texts and calls to his partner.

The 30-year-old pleaded guilty to five charges before Mildura Magistrates' Court last week, including making threats to kill and persistently breaching a court-imposed order.
