A MILDURA man clocked driving 30km/h over the speed limit has blamed a speeding charge on an unfamiliar car.

Mildura Magistrates' Court was this week told the 30-year-old was driving a BMW coupe when police observed him reverse out of an Etiwanda Avenue driveway and accelerate heavily down the road.
