ATHLETES from a Melbourne school are having an unexpected holiday in Mildura this week after their annual rowing camp was moved due to fires.

Caulfield Grammar School's head of rowing Craig Smith said Mildura was an ideal location for the school's summer rowing camp, which was originally planned for Bairnsdale, in Victoria's fire-ravaged south-east.
