MILDURA Rural City Council's councillor for gender equality Helen Healy has praised a move requiring the state's public sector, including councils, universities and TAFEs, Victoria Police, Court Services Victoria and the Office of Public Prosecutions, to show they are "actively pursuing" gender equality.
