ALMOST 30 women from various cultural backgrounds attended the Women's Empowerment morning tea at Sunraysia Mallee Ethnic Communities Council (SMECC) on Friday.

Former refugee, community lawyer and human rights advocate Fadak Alfayadh was guest speaker, sharing her journey as a refugee and some of the challenges she faced.
