A YOUNG Merbein couple will call a top-secret World War II bunker home after purchasing the unique Yelta property at auction at the weekend.

The bunker, which had been converted into an unusual two-storey home, was one of several structures built by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) to store fuel for nearby pilot training bases located at Mildura and Wentworth in 1940.
