VICTORIAN Premier Daniel Andrews says north-west Victoria and the Gippsland region will be at greatest risk this bushfire season.

As fires continued to rage across New South Wales and Queensland, Mr Andrews said Victorians were facing a dangerous fire season this year.

"This season will be challenging, as all seasons are," Mr Andrews said.
