IT was full steam ahead for Sunraysia residents when they tied their laces and traded a lazy Sunday morning in support of charity group Chances for Children.

About 160 participants flocked to the Mildura Wharf for the inaugural Chase the Steam fundraiser event and were challenged to beat the paddlesteamer PS Melbourne, which travelled at 9km/h
