THE deaths of a large number of carp in Lake Hattah over the past few days is part of ongoing management of the invasive species, the Victorian Government says.

Water Minister Lisa Neville on Sunday said the current fish kills were a result of the natural drying down of Lake Hattah and adjacent lakes.
