KEVIN Schultz would be too humble to tell you he has been giving back to the Sunraysia community for almost half a century.

Mr Schultz joined the Mildura branch of the Knights of Southern Cross in April 1970 -- a national Catholic organisation founded in 1919 -- and is now just six months away from celebrating 50 years with the group.
