GROWING up in a low-income family, university seemed a distant dream for Gemma Hall-Kelly.

But the 22-year-old former Mildura Senior College student graduated from UniSA last month with a Bachelor of Social Work and gained full-time employment with Mallee Family Care (MFC) last year.
