NSW education interim report calls for focus on in-depth basics

NSW state schools could undergo a curriculum shake-up that would reduce the number of subjects studied and emphasise "real world" skills if the findings of a review are accepted.

The State Government yesterday released its interim report on the curriculum review, headed by Professor Geoff Masters, covering kindergarten to Year 12.
