MILDURA'S councillor for recreation and sport has conceded there is a "fair chance" the city will not be actively involved in hosting any part of the 2030 Commonwealth Games.

Mildura was earmarked to host cricket, beach volleyball or softball under a Shepparton-led bid for 12 venues across seven regional centres to host the Games.
