MILDURA SES volunteers have been prepped for the coming fire danger period with training to monitor if air quality is a health risk to the community in the event of a fire.

The Mildura unit now has about 12 volunteers trained to use specialist air quality monitoring equipment should there be a need to make critical air quality decisions as part of the EPA's incident air monitoring network.
