AUSTRALIAN states that follow daylight saving will spring their clocks forward this weekend, signalling the start of long spring and summer days.

Residents in NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and the ACT will bask in an extra hour of sun but lose sleep when the annual change occurs on Sunday at 2am.
