Murray cod relocated in lower Darling River found dead

TWENTY-five Murray cod have perished during relocation efforts from the Darling River near Menindee and Pooncarie.

NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) fisheries officers spent two weeks relocating fish as part of a NSW Government program to try and lessen impacts of widespread fish deaths on the lower Darling River moving into spring and summer.
