Labour cost, shortages ‘biggest challenge’ for grower

LABOUR hire laws, penalty rates and the cost of water has created the "biggest challenge" one horticulturist has seen in farming.

Mick Young, who grows stone fruit on land near Swan Hill, said he was worried about finding workers in time for this harvest season.
