Aged Care Royal Commission: Fears for future deepening, aged care royal commission hears

THE future of the Mildura Carers Hub is in jeopardy due to a lack of funds, the aged care royal commission heard yesterday.

The hub, which was established in 2017 as an experimental program arising from the Mildura Carer Blueprint, provides a social venue for carers to hear guest speakers, attend education sessions and counter stress and isolation.

There are 7500 carers in the region and about 3000 people go through Mildura hub each year, the commission heard.
