HOPE in the form of a review may not be far away for Sunraysia landholders bound to rigid planning legislation.

Following a vote from councillors at last week’s meeting, discussions will be opened with Planning Minister Richard Wynne to address the impact of Amendment C89 under the Mildura Planning Scheme. 

The amendment was introduced in 2016 and affects between 500 and 600 landholders in the Mildura Older Irrigation Area (MOIA) who are unable to develop small allotments between 0.2ha and 2.0ha.
