AFTER a long wait, supermarket chain Aldi has officially arrived in Mildura.
Keen shoppers lined up for this morning's opening of the new store at the corner of Fifteenth Street and Deakin Avenue.
Aldi opened its first Australian store in 2001 and was first linked to plans for a Mildura outlet more than seven years ago.
Until today, many Aldi fans in Mildura spoke of travelling to Swan Hill or Berri in South Australia to stock up.
