Christopher Testa: Your book is about regional voters and the reasons they’ve been turning away from mainstream parties and mainstream politics. But how much of what you’ve observed is uniform across regional areas?

Gabrielle Chan: The reason I wrote the book with a very local focus on my community is because obviously regional Australia is not uniform and it’s not monolithic.
