A NEW social media policy will be adopted by Mildura Rural City Council in alignment with a recommended policy from the Victorian Local Governance Association.

The policy outlined both the benefits and risks of social media use by councillors, providing guidance on appropriate use and specific provisions to ensure its use to foster an environment of open communication.
