MILDURA Waves will host a free public lunch this Friday for World Drowning Prevention Day.

The lunch is intended to raise awareness for water safety and to recognise the work of life guards and swim instructors.

The event is run by Royal Life Saving Australia and Chase Williams, head of customer experience for Mildura Waves, said this is the first time the Mildura pool has hosted the event.
