NEW South Wales Rural Fire Service Lower Western Zone manager Stephen Walker's dedication to support the Wentworth Shire and Balranald Shire Council areas was acknowledged in the King's Birthday Awards earlier this month.

Mr Walker, who has been district manager of the Lower Western Zone since 2013, was awarded the Australian Fire Service Medal for distinguished service as a member of an Australian fire service.
