MILDURA declared itself a Megawatt Rural City Council with solar power systems across the region now harnessing more than a megawatt of energy from municipal buildings.

That amount is enough to power as many as 1000 houses – depending on usage – for one hour. Mildura has approximately 22,000 homes and units.
