HELICOPTERS chartered by electricity provider Powercor will be in the skies above Mildura during the coming weeks checking transmission lines.

The aircraft will be flying about 300 meters above the ground and scanning for trees and bushes growing near and into power lines using light detection and ranging equipment, or LiDAR, technology.
