THE Mildura Waves Aquatic and Leisure Centre celebrated its 25th birthday this year.

In 2000 the Mildura Olympic Pool, which had been built in 1955 in light of the following year's Olympic Games in Melbourne, was joined by an indoor 25m pool, with the upgrade including a name change.
