MILDURA Rural City Council has been forced to find $2 million in savings to maintain a budget surplus for 2025-26.

The council will this week consider the release of its 2025-26 draft budget for public feedback with an anticipated surplus of just $69,000 with an average rate increase of three per cent as mandated under the Victorian Government's Fair Go Rates capping policy.
